Nehemiah 5 - here we not only see broken walls but broken people. Many of those rebuilding the walls were hungry and flirting with financial disaster. Their new crisis was from within. Jews were crippling their fellow Jews financially - even to the point of needing to sell their children into slavery to cover debts. Oftentimes we crumble because of tension within. Sometimes our motivation brings suffering. In essence, we see people here who loved themselves more than they loved others. This leads to greed. Overcome greed not by thinking about money less, but by thinking of others more.
